Ricardo Semprun
Ricardo Semprún Leloup (born October 27, 1959) is a Spanish diplomat and businessman.
He is serving as Minister Plenipotentiary at the Spanish Embassy in Washington, D.C.,〔http://www.spanish-embassy.com/washington.html ''Embajada de España en Estados Unidos''.〕 a role which he assumed on March 18, 2007.
==Early life==
Semprún was born in Madrid, Spain and raised in Paris, France. He is the third of five children of the writer, politician, and former Minister of Culture for Spain Jorge Semprún and the French film-editor Colette Leloup.
He is the grandson of the Spanish diplomat José María Semprún Gurrea〔:es:Antonio Maura '' José María Semprún Gurrea | ''Con Susana Maura fue padre de siete hijos. Entre ellos están los escritores Jorge Semprún''.〕 and great-son of Antonio Maura, Prime Minister of Spain on five separate occasions.
